My name is Sara and I am a wife and stay-at-home momma to 3 rambunctious boys in the Pacific Northwest. My husband, Vince, and I have been married for 11 years and our boys are Joe, 7, Frank, 3, and George, 16 months. We became first-time homeowners a year ago.
My mother is an expert gardener and my father is the handiest guy I know. They have transformed their backyard into an amazing retreat over the last 30 years. Together with my parents’ guidance and help, we began, what I am now realizing is a life long project, creating our garden. Last summer we worked on the backyard, and this spring was the front yard.
I want to share my journey as I try to emulate things my parents have done, listen to their advice, ignore some of it and learn a lesson from it, and find my own way as I try to create my family’s own little slice of paradise for us all, and the bees, to enjoy.
